Real Time Facial Projection Mapping (#178)

The WOW studio in Tokyo is back with another quirky projection mapping production! This time they’ve taken their legendary specialty of real-time facial projection mapping, and incorporated it with a chilling miming dance choreography. The piece is called INORI, and it stands for prayer in Japanese. Media artist Nombumichi Asai, and his team pulled the project off with the help of using a high-speed projection mapping technology that displays moving visuals at 1,000 frames per second in order to be able to get this on video. Get a more in-depth description  and a behinds the scenes look at how this all came together here.
