60 Projectors for 360 Mapping (#195)

By November 6, 2017Monday Mapping

The eSports/gaming world is taking off. The advances in technology, graphics, game design, and more mean huge events for the industry. Today’s Monday Mapping takes a look at the Opening Ceremony for the 2016 League of Legends World Finals.

Using 60 projectors, the projection mapped show featured an interplay of content on an interior hard-surface cube and a surrounding 25-foot tall semi-translucent scrim box measuring 90 feet by 55 feet. This massive setup enabled over 40 million fans (at home and in the arena) the chance to be up close and personal to the event.
