10 Easter Songs for 2018

By February 27, 2018Easter

With Easter around the corner and planning (hopefully) fully underway, we want to turn our attention to media for the top Easter songs for 2018. Our friends over at SALT Community have created a list of 30 great songs for Easter 2018. We took their top 10 and have curated some great media options to craft amazing environments for Easter. Whether you have one center screen, a pixel mapped LED wall, environmental projection, or a massive double wide backdrop, these recommendations will work amazingly well in each and every environment for Easter.

What a Beautiful Name – Hillsong United

What a Beautiful Name, is a song with lyrics that truly usher in the meaning and spirit of the Easter season. We wanted the media to allow the words to speak without overwhelming the lyrics. Starting off simply with a dark texture to lead into some amazing names of God style motions. The names will jump off your projection surfaces and speak to the heart of the matter.

I’m Going Free – Vertical Worship

This is a high energy song of praise and celebration. We wanted to choose motions that would enhance and proclaim the freedom celebrated.

Rescuer (Good News) – Rend Collective

There’s a simplicity in these lyrics that speak a powerful message of truth and hope. Using scenic visuals to display the beauty that comes with this hope helps to envelop the congregation into the songs lyrics. Finalize with a focus on the cross to drive home the message.

At the Cross (Love Ran Red) – Chris Tomlin

This is a great song to create one focal point during the entire song. The message of the cross comes alive with the lyrics. There are so many amazing cross options that it’s hard to filter. We’ve selected a few that are popular in the community, but there are so many more with untapped potential. Find the perfect cross options here.

Death Was Arrested – North Point InsideOut

A newer song from North Point speaking about the redemptive power of the cross. New life; endless love; made new. “Life begins with you.” Tons of amazing potential to bring the exclamation point to the end of your Easter services.

Man of Sorrows – Hillsong Worship

Complete focus on Jesus and his sacrifice. A powerful anthem of the grace poured out at the cross. Give your congregation a focal point during the song to help portray the message.

Hosanna (Praise is Rising) – Paul Baloche

A classic song that ushers in a spirit of praise and worship for your Easter environments. Take the opportunity to incorporate abstract elements into your serve to allow folks to get lost in the song and the moment.

Forgiven – Crowder

This powerful ballad is a great song to reach out to anyone struggling with doubts or the challenges of life. The media chosen showcases different perspectives of the way of this forgiveness.

The Anthem – PlanetShakers

Sometimes an older song needs fresh new content to spark something for your audience. Take a look at the visuals below as you listen to this song. We think they work well together.

Resurrecting – Elevation Worship

The cross didn’t have the final word. This is a big song of victory. Celebrate with your congregation this Easter with this anthem of praise.
